Can there be a military coup in Pakistan

There can not be a military coup in Pakistan according to a statement of Pakistan Army Chief on Friday 23rd December 2011. The Army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kiani was addressing troops in Mohmand Agency where he said that the impression that army will take over power in Pakistan is wrong.
In the last month Supreme Court of Pakistan also warned that it will not support any military coup in Pakistan. The only way of removal of anyone from power is the legal way. Under the current circumstances military coup seems impossible in Pakistan at the moment.

Tense Situation continues in Pakistan

There is a continuous power struggle going on in Pakistan for the last few months because of series of scandals of the current government of Pakistan People's Party. The military establishment of Pakistan is having sentiments close to the wishes of Pakistani Public. However the current government of Pakistan is more Pro-American and it doesn't care whatever the public thinks.
One of the facts in Pakistan is that the ruling elite is always selected by the Americans. This includes the senior political appointments as well as establishment appointments. The more closer people are to the CIA and American establishments, the more chances they have of remaining in the power. For that they cause problems for the country at times also.
Memorandum written by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is an example of betrayal with the constitution of the land. The establishment is looking forward to the Supreme Court for a ruling against that and similarly the government is taking favors from the Americans over the issue. As the end result Pakistani Public is suffering from electricity and natural gas shortages.

Debate on Article 47 and Article 6 on the go

Pakistani media is discussing article 6 and article 47 of the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan a lot these days. Article 6 deals with the High Treason while Article 47 deals with the impeachment of President. The reason is that the Pakistani President is accused of memo scandal since last few months. He was fearing many things because of which he went to Dubai.
Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari is resting at a hospital in Dubai with the excuse of heart disease. On the other hand Pakistani media claims that he can be impeached on the grounds of disability if he is really sick which means the implementation of article 47. If he comes back then he fears the implementation of Article 6 against him according to which he can be punished with death.
